Terres de France: An innovative manager of the tourist residence:
Created in 2008 by Jean-Marc Bournais and his two sons Pierre and Charles-Henri, the Terres de France group has continued to develop in recent years thanks to the maintenance of strong values essential to green tourism such as eco-responsibility, the promotion of French terroirs, well-being… but also thanks to the dynamism of these young and ambitious teams.
Specializing in the operation of accommodation in the countryside (hotel, residences, camping, group accommodation), the Terres de France group has been able to maintain constant and reasoned growth, while remaining in constant search of new management opportunities.
The Terres de France group has also been able to adapt its business model to changes in the global market and customer expectations, and has been able to develop a significant internet presence. The Terres de France group has also been able to diversify its portfolio of residences and hotels by offering additional destinations according to the expectations of its customers. The Terres de France group therefore offers holiday residences and aparthotels in town, in the countryside, by the sea, in thermal centers and in the mountains.
Developments in the tourist distribution market have also led the group to develop new growth tools. These tools allow it to diversify into tourism distribution on the web in the main customer segments of its establishments. Namely: group and seminar customers, vacation and short-stay rental customers and short-stay and themed weekend customers.
Our Nature resort concept
Specializing in green tourism, Terres de France wishes to promote nature and responsible tourism by inviting customers to discover the French countryside in establishments where quality, well-being, calm, serenity and respect for the environment are the key words.
What is a resort?
A Resort is a place that offers quality accommodation and many leisure activities to do on site. The Terres de France resorts thus offer sports activities, catering services, but also wellness & SPA areas as well as children’s play areas. The group also wishes to highlight the players and the heritage of the region, which is why many activities located nearby (ex: wine tasting, visit of châteaux, leisure parks) are highlighted in our establishments. , equestrian center, archery, tree climbing, canoeing, quad etc.).
Terres de France selects exceptional locations for the establishment of its resorts, in a preserved environment, in the heart of the most beautiful French regions, with strong tourist potential.
Resorts with many activities :
With its experience, the group offers many services (charming and quality accommodation & cottages, catering, SPA, organization of seminars and private events, Incentives etc.).
Ecology at the heart of concerns :
Terres de France has always attached great importance to ecology and sustainable development. In each of these residences and apart-hotels, the group applies specific processes to reduce its carbon footprint and largely uses ecological products.
The group is also investing in its residences in order to reduce its fluid consumption (water, electricity, gasoline, etc.) by using new techniques and technologies (solar panels, home automation, low-voltage bulbs, ecological foamer, insulation, etc.).
A growing family group :
In 2005, Mr. Jean-Marc BOURNAIS, promoter of the Touraine region, decided to refocus his activity around the promotion / construction of tourist residences and launched the Relais du Plessis project in Indre-et-Loire in Richelieu. Very quickly, Mr. Bournais called on his two sons, who brought him valuable knowledge in management, marketing strategy and business development.
In 2008, Terres de France took over the management of the Relais du Plessis, a 3-star tourist residence in the Loire Valley with 144 apartments, with restaurant, SPA and seminar center.
In 2010, after taking over the management of the Relais du Plessis directly and considerably developing this residence, Pierre and Charles-Henri were approached to take over new residences and hotels. This is how the Terres de France group took over 2 new 3-star establishments in Vienne in Poitou Charente: the Moncontour Active Park campsite and the Domaine de Saint Hilaire.
In 2013, after stabilizing these 3 establishments, the Terres de France group decided to take over a new establishment: the Natura resort Pescalis residence in Deux Sèvres, but also to use their skills in order to diversify into tourist distribution in the Web by creating numerous distribution platforms such as France Séminaire, Mes Vacances Privées, Weekend en France et Weekend en groupe.

In 2019, the Terres de France group is stabilizing its structures and optimizing their profitability and capacity by strengthening its teams and continuing its digitalization.
